If Lips Could Kill

Claim to Fame: Sonya Zia, winner of World Miss University Pakistan 2006 and Miss Photogenic at Miss Pakistan World 2006

Lipstick Masala’s Tip to Offender: This may take a while so we’ll just focus on the most blatant beauty violations. Sonya, please throw away your tweezers, one more pluck and we’re afraid you’ll soon look like Whoopi Goldberg. Give your face a little more color with some bronzer – white faces are a thing of the past. We appreciate the attempt to match your lipstick to your eye shadow, but don’t – it’s a huge beauty faux pas. And lastly, since you’re representing our country to the world, we feel the need to tell you –  your extreme lipliner is more than a little scary.

2. HiFashion - April 23, 2009

Haha! I went to a fashion show in Dhaka a couple of weeks ago and noticed that although some of the clothes were fab, I really don’t think they’ve learned how to do make-up. It’s all the same, and the same as it was in the 80s, and the basic principle is “a lot of goo on the face, all the time.” They don’t try to work with what the model already has, they just plaster make-up on! I can just imagine how difficult it must be to wash their faces afterwards. Anyway, this pic you posted reminded me of them because everything just looks heavy (and her face is such an unnatural color!) and ouch, the eyebrows!!!

As Jai would say “honey take one thing and work it!”

13. RANA - May 4, 2009

HAHA! I went to a wedding recently and noticed a lot of girls making this very same mistake. Lots of pinks all over..it’s like they want to blush all over lol..Anyways as a makeup artist I couldn’t just let this FAUX-PAS go soo what did I do. As usaual the offending pink makeup person asked me my opinion and I gave it to her. No, you do better without soo much pink on your face, and that apparently wasn’t the answer she was looking for. Hey I am a New Yorker, don’t ask us for the truth. We dont hand truth in small doses, we sucker punch you lol.

If the light shimmer gloss in the centre of her lip was blended in better then it might not be so bad. Her lips look too big.
